But we held on and just before half time we got the break through with the sweetest of own goals from ex-Man U player Phil Neville. Half time and 1-0 up I knew we still had 45 minutes to play and Everton were still in with a chance especially with the one man advantage. But on 47 minutes Luis Garcia broke through the Everton defence and chipped goalkeeper Richard Wright for a brilliant goal making it 2-0!

I don't know what Rafael Benitez said to the Liverpool team at half time but we came out and were all over Everton. We were playing well until 61 mintes when Everton grabbed a goal back from Tim Cahill which knocked us a bit and we became a bit nervous. But we kept our cool and kept playing well. Then on 73 minutes the teams were evened up by the sending off of Andy Van Der Meyde. I started to think we've got this one in the bag and then the victory was sealed 6 minutes from time when Harry Kewell picked up the ball on the edge of the penalty area and curled in a sweet shot past Wright and into the net.

What a great result and it moves us up to 2nd place if only for a few hours. Come on Liverpool!
