What a great result for us and we did it with 10 men for most of the game aswell! That game shows how well we can play without Gerrard in the team. I must admit I thought that we were in for a bad time when Gerrard got sent off after only 18 minutes and for 10-15 minutes after that was the case with Everton creating a few good chances.Gerrard gets sent off after 18 minutes.

But we held on and just before half time we got the break through with the sweetest of own goals from ex-Man U player Phil Neville. Half time and 1-0 up I knew we still had 45 minutes to play and Everton were still in with a chance especially with the one man advantage. But on 47 minutes Luis Garcia broke through the Everton defence and chipped goalkeeper Richard Wright for a brilliant goal making it 2-0!

I don't know what Rafael Benitez said to the Liverpool team at half time but we came out and were all over Everton. We were playing well until 61 mintes when Everton grabbed a goal back from Tim Cahill which knocked us a bit and we became a bit nervous. But we kept our cool and kept playing well. Then on 73 minutes the teams were evened up by the sending off of Andy Van Der Meyde. I started to think we've got this one in the bag and then the victory was sealed 6 minutes from time when Harry Kewell picked up the ball on the edge of the penalty area and curled in a sweet shot past Wright and into the net.

Went to see Hostel last night and I was a little bit disappointed really. It has been over-hyped slightly by saying its one of the goriest films ever made, in a way it is but there has been gorier scenes in a few recent films, The Hill Have Eyes and Final Destination 3 are two such films. I still quite enjoyed Hostel even though some of the scenes are pretty gruesome, the eyeball and achilles tendon scenes are two of the worst. Luckily I didn't faint, throw up or need medical treatment afterwards.LOL. Decent film but could have been a lot better.

I've just finished reading TWOC by Graham Joyce and what a great book it was. It's been advertised on a few sites as a childrens book but i'm 25 and even though the main character is a 16 year old boy still found it interesting and not as childish as I first thought it would be. In fact the only indication that the book may be aimed at younger readers is the back cover's reference to Graham Joyce as being "the author of ten adult novels." The title of the book first drew me in as I had no idea what TWOC stood for, which made me read about it and soon found out what the story was about. TWOC is an abbreviation for Taking Without Owners Consent and is usually applied in car theft, in other words 'joyriding'.

As mentioned above the main character is a 16 year old boy called Matt and because the book is written from his point of view we get to know exactly what he thinks about other characters he interacts with, which can sometimes be very funny. Matt has been involved in an horrific car accident in which his older brother, Jake, was killed and Jake's girlfriend was badly scarred. The story picks up a few years after the accident were Matt is frequently visited by Jake's ghost at his bedroom window, which givesa slightly spooky fell to the book. Matt tries to hide his emotions by becoming very defensive when anyone confronts him about his past. Matt gets sent on an outward bound weekend in order to deal with his past and finally find some closure. Joining him on this trip is 2 other children with equally colourful pasts. During the weekend they each have to make tough choices which will affect the rest of their lives. Every now and then the story will have flashbacks of the night of Matt's joyriding crash, which leads to an unexpected conclusion. All in all I thought this book was written very well and as it is through the eyes of a 16 year old can be quite comical at times. Great read, not very long and not very expensive if you know where to look.

I'm hoping to go and see new horror film Hostel on Friday. Read some reviews on it and seems to be quite good if very gory. I'm going with one of my female friends and she's already said she'll be hiding behind me on the really gory bits, I think it'll be the other way round actually, I can get quite squeamish when watching gory films. Some of the reviews have said that some movie-goers in America have been fainting, throwing up and having to be carried out while they've been watching it! I'm not sure if i'm looking forward to or dreading seeing it. I'll find out on Friday......sick bags on standby!

Got a dilemma whether to go in my car or get the train. I normally get into work about 10am but i've got to be at Preston for 9:30am! It's gonna be a bloody shock to my system, i've got to get up at about 7am. I know to some people thats not early but it's gonna bloody kill me! Anyway in order for me to claim expenses by using my car I need to be covered for business use on my insurance and because i'd never use my car for business use i'm not covered. I thought it's not going to cost me much to add business use onto my policy so decided to give my insurance company a ring to see how much it would cost........bloody £43.48!!! It's hardly worth it as my expenses wouldn't even cover it! Looks like i'll be getting the train then but the train to get me there on time gets into Preston at 8:28am which means i've got to hang around for an hour.LOL I'm not sure what this 'workshop' is going to be like but it's only 2 hours so hardly gonna kill me is it.LOL

What a great game! Never seen a more one sided game in my life. Felt slightly sorry for Birmingham at the end but hey thats football for you. Steven Gerrard was outstanding as usual, he got Man Of The Match. Crouch is finally starting to score a few goals for us and at last Cisse managed to score in open play. Even Morientes got in on the act, and what a great goal by Riise! Lets not forget Hyypia opening the scoring for us after just 55 seconds! I just hope we can take this kind of form into the next few league games and start closing up on Man Utd. All I can say is Watch out Everton!
